Tolley
Tolley approached us with a request for a visual brand refresh. We partnered with Tolley to explore the values they hold at their core, aiming to create a cohesive brand strategy and visual identity that would resonate deeply with their audience.
Background
Tolley provides specialised Health Technology Assessment (HTA) consulting services that require both technical expertise and client confidence. Although Tolley had established a strong reputation, their brand lacked a clear, consistent message that could amplify this trust to new audiences. Recognising the need to evolve, Tolley sought our expertise in redesigning their visual identity and enhancing their brand message.

When we started, Tolley expressed a desire for a visual update but hadn’t defined the message behind it. Their goal was to communicate a sense of dependability and authority in their field, but the brand’s core values weren’t coming through in their existing visuals or language. Without a clear focal message, a simple brand update risked missing the opportunity for a deeper connection with their audience.
Solution
We proposed a ‘brand workshop day’ to uncover the heart of Tolley’s identity. The workshop helped reveal what Tolley had known all along: trust is the cornerstone of their brand. This insight allowed us to craft a strategic rebranding that tied their name to a promise of trust, transparency, and tenacity. Inspired by the natural alignment of these three words and the Tolley name beginning and ending with the same letters, we built the brand message: “Tolley, trusted HTA consultants from beginning to end” and then linked it back to the three key statements. This sentiment extended across our design work, including a sleek new logo, refreshed typography, website redesign, and dynamic visual assets that represented trust from every angle.
Outcome
Through this rebrand, Tolley now projects a powerful, cohesive identity that authentically reflects their core value of trust. Their audience sees Tolley as a partner they can rely on, from the first conversation to project completion. Since launching the new brand, Tolley has not only strengthened existing client relationships but also attracted new clients who recognise the consistent promise embedded in their brand: “trust, transparency, and tenacity from beginning to end.”
